Wichita Police released the name of the victim killed in a two-vehicle crash in north Wichita.

50-year-old Nicky Ball of Wichita died in the accident around 4:40 Friday afternoon at the intersection of 18th Street North and Sheridan.
Ball was traveling southbound on Sheridan and upon entering the uncontrolled intersection, a vehicle traveling westbound on 18th Street, driven by a 21-year-old woman, hit him.
Police say neither alcohol nor speed is contributing factor. The investigation is still ongoing. This is Wichita’s 37th fatality accident and there have been 40 fatalities this year.
