Police are investigating a shooting that seriously injured a 35-year-old Wichita man.
At approximately 1:15 Saturday morning, officers were dispatched to an unknown call at the intersection of 47th Street S. and Broadway. A local restaurant called 911 after a man had walked into the business bleeding from his arm. The victim left before the officers arrived.
Just after 2 a.m., officers were informed that a man arrived at a hospital in Derby with a gunshot wound to his right arm. His injury was not life-threatening.
Police say the victim was walking south on the east side of Broadway when an unknown suspect shot at him.
Investigators are still working to fully determine what led up to the shooting.
