The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash in Reno County late Wednesday. It happened on U.S. Highway 50, approximately seven miles east of Hutchinson, around 11:30 p.m.
The KHP says a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was heading east-bound when it crossed the center line and struck a oncoming west-bound semi-truck.
The driver of the pickup, 65-year-old Kris D. Baymiller of Hutchinson, was pronounced dead on the scene.
