An impaired driver who struck and killed two people changing a flat tire in north Wichita, has been sentenced to over seven years in prison.
Travis Mock, 26, pled guilty in May to two counts of involuntary manslaughter in the deaths of Christian Evans, 20, and Emily Stein, 18.
Police say the couple had pulled over off the ramp from northbound I-135 to eastbound K-96, and were fixing a flat on the drivers side, when a pickup driven by Mock struck and killed them.
Following his sentence, Mock will serve 6-years’ probation.
The district attorney's office said 86 months was the maximum sentence allowed by law.
