A nurses' strike at two Wichita hospitals points out the challenges facing health care workers everywhere. U.S. Senator Dr. Roger Marshall tells KNSS News he is concerned that the workforce is losing so many nurses and doctors due to added paper work and stress. For American health care workers, Marshall says "these are challenging times".
Marshall says he is working on the federal farm bill, which is revised every five years. He says 90% of the federal spending on agriculture goes to food and nutrition programs. He says with inflation so strong, he's not sure how to pay for the farm bill.
Independence Day is next Tuesday. Senator Marshall says Americans should be proud of our nation and the sacrifices made to preserve our liberty through the years.
The Kansas Republican was a guest on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
