Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple says it's time to move on, after a City advisory board concluded that Whipple violated the City's ethics policy in a confrontation with a police officer. Whipple tells KNSS News he has apologized for the incident last September. He says it is a "level of closure for me". He says the ethics policy was part of his campaign platform. Whipple says it is important to "accept responsibility in moving forward".
At Tuesday's meeting the Wichita City Council will take another look at the City's fireworks ordinance. Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News the danger with fireworks often comes after the explosions and colorful displays. He says firefighters recommend that discarded fireworks be submerged in water.
