The newest Coronavirus variant is hitting even those who have been vaccinated ... putting new pressure on medical clinics and hospitals across the country. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News people are asking him why people are not getting vaccinated. Meitzner admits vaccinations might not keep you from catching the virus, but it will probably keep you out of the hospital.
Meitzner says big construction projects are on hold right now, victims of the pandemic's impact on supply lines. He says construction companies are short of workers and supplies to build and repair roadways and bridges.
Meitzner commented during his weekly chat with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
