A 30-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle crash Saturday evening in east Wichita.

It happened just before 6 p.m., in the 200 block of S. Greenwich. A motorcyclist collided with a vehicle and suffered critical injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

The accident is under investigation. The victim's name has not been released.

This crash occurred about 90 minutes after another accident in south Wichita involving a motorcycle and vehicle.

That call came in around 4:25 p.m. Saturday from 55th Street S. and Vine.  One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Wichita Police Sgt. Jason Bryant spoke to our partners at 12 News and said it was important for motorists to be vigilant while driving around motorcycles.
