Sedgwick County Commissioners have appointed an interim appraiser.
Brent Shelton, the county's deputy Chief Financial Officer, was appointed as interim county appraiser. Shelton will serve for a period up to six months or until a new county appraiser is appointed.
Mark Clark is retiring after over 30 years at Sedgwick County. His position will be vacant effective July 1.
A nationwide search is underway for Clark's replacement.
