The city of Wichita released additional information Tuesday about the cyber security incident which occurred on May 3 and 4.
The city says files which contained law enforcement incident and traffic information were copied from the city's computer network without permission. Those files include names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification card numbers and payment card information.
The city says the incident is related to a recently disclosed security vulnerability affecting organizations worldwide. The city's IT teams continue their work to resolve the issue and are also working with law enforcement on the matter.
