
Have you ever wanted to learn more about gardening? Several upcoming events may help your green thumb.
You can attend free Spring Gardening classes at the Wichita Public Library, on Tuesday and Thursday through early May, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Topics include herb gardening, homegrown tomatoes, native plants and grasses, and more. In addition, the K-State Garden Hour webinar series are held on the first Wednesday of the month, between Noon and 1 p.m.

McKernan also highlighted another event coming up on Saturday, May 6: the Spring Gardening Fair. It will be held at the county’s extension office, inside 4-H Hall, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
McKernan and Dr. Jennifer Brantley, the Extension Center’s Director, spoke at Wednesday’s Sedgwick County Commission meeting.
