Northeast Wichita motorcycle crash critically injures man

UPDATE: A 39-year-old man sustained serious injuries after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a SUV in northeast Wichita Saturday morning.

It happened around 9:25, near 21st Street North and Farmsted, west of 21st and Woodlawn. Wichita Police say the SUV was making a left turn when it was struck by the motorcycle, which was travelling at 80 mph.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike but was conscious when officers arrived. He suffered multiple bone fractures and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Previous story: A man in his 20s was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries, after a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle Saturday morning. It happened just before 9:30, near 21st Street North and Farmsted in northeast Wichita, west of 21st and Woodlawn.

We're awaiting more information from Wichita Police regarding the accident.
