An 18-year-old man is in the hospital after he was critically injured in a northeast Wichita shooting.
The call came in around 10:30 Friday night, from the 4200 block of North Dellrose, near 45th Street North and Oliver. Wichita Police say the 18-year-old was involved in a disturbance with, then was subsequently shot by a 16-year-old boy multiple times in the upper body.
Officers and the Fire Department began providing life-saving measures and the victim was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.
Police say they located and arrested the 16-year-old this morning around 3 a.m. in the 1300 block of East Kemper.
The name of the victim has not been released.
