A police pursuit ended early Thursday morning when a vehicle struck a police car and crashed into a house in south Wichita. A police officer was injured in the crash.
It happened just before two a.m. at Washington and Kinkaid. Police tried to stop a stolen car near 31st and Broadway, but the car wouldn’t stop. An officer who was trying to parallel the pursuit was hit by that stolen car, sending it partially into a home.
Police arrested a suspect who had suffered an apparent leg fracture. Injuries to the suspect and the officer are not believed to be life-threatening.
