It occurred Sunday morning around 7:45 a.m. in the 1200 block of SW Wanamaker Road, on the west side of the Capital city.
Deputies were at the scene attempting to make a felony arrest of a suspect involved in a vehicle pursuit that occurred in Shawnee County on Friday afternoon. One man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is being investigated by the Northeast Kansas Sheriffs’ Officer-Involved Critical Incident Response Team.
