A rollover crash in Sumner County has claimed the life of a Caldwell woman. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol around 3:20 p.m. on Monday emergency crews were dispatched to the report of a single vehicle crash on U.S. 81 a mile west of South Haven.
On arrival crews found an SUV that had rolled into the ditch. 74-year-old Diana Cassady of Caldwell was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation found Cassady was southbound when the vehicle veered off the road, came back onto the highway, and overcorrected and flipped into the ditch. The vehicle came to a rest on its roof.
