UPDATE: A minor is dead and two others injured when a car and school bus crashed west of Towanda. It happened just after 4:00 Friday afternoon in the westbound lanes of K-254 near Adams Road.
The minor who died was a passenger in the car that hit the bus. The driver of that car was also transported to the hospital.
The bus from the Circle School District was carrying 13 to 15-students at the time. One of the children on the bus was reported to have an injured finger.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but according to the Butler County Sheriff's office, it appears the school bus failed to yield the right of way and the car crashed into it.
