A rear-end collision has killed a man and left a woman with critical injuries.
It happened at 8 p.m. Thursday at 13th Street and Hillside in the northeast part of the city.
Wichita Police said a small SUV was waiting at the stoplight when a large pickup truck rear-ended the vehicle. The SUV rolled over, killing the driver, a 65-year-old man. A 67-year-old woman, the passenger in the vehicle, was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
Police believe speed and alcohol are factors in the crash. The driver of the truck, a 37-year-old man, is in police custody.
The investigation continues in the case. The name of the victims have not been released.
