The fatal crash north of Wichita happened before 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Hydraulic & 85th Street North.
Initial reports indicated the victim was trapped inside the vehicle and not breathing. First-responders rushed to the scene, but they were not able to save the victim.
Investigators believe a lumber truck south-bound on Hydraulic did not yield to a west-bound car on 85th Street. It was the driver of the car who died on-site.
The driver of the truck was injured in the crash, hospitalized with potentially serious injuries.
