One woman is dead after a shooting at a southeast Wichita apartment complex. According to the Wichita Police Department, the shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. in the 81-hundred block of east Harry.
Officers found a woman in her 30s at the scene suffering from a wound to her upper body. She was was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the shooting likely stemmed from a disturbance within one of the apartments and that it was not random.
