Wichita Police has arrested 20 year-old Brannen Ratliff of Wichita on a charge of aggrevated robbery stemming from a transaction that was set up on social media.
Around 3 PM Wednesday, police were called to a robbery in the 8800 block of East Harry.
There, they contacted a victim who told them the suspect had advertised a phone for sale on Facebook and arranged to meet him in a parking lot.
The suspect then used a firearm to rob the victim of cash, then fled into a nearby apartment.
Officers were able to locate the suspect and arrested him.
Police reminds us to use caution when transacting such activities, They say to discuss with others when and where you are meeting. Also meet in a public place or at a police substation.
It's also a good idea to take someone with you. This can reduce the possibility of robbery or harm, and they can be a witness.
