Plane makes emergency landing at Eisenhower National

A commercial aircraft made an emergency landing at Eisenhower National Airport Saturday morning prior to 9 o'clock.

The aircraft took off from Wichita around 7:30 and was en route to Miami when the crew reported landing gear issues. The plane was diverted back to Wichita at 7:53 a.m. and circled around the city for about an hour burning off fuel.

According to the Flight Aware website, the twin-jet aircraft landed safely at 8:54 a.m.
