The Wichita Police Department has arrested a suspect on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
At approximately 9:50 p.m. Wednesday night, officers responded to a disturbance with a gun call at the apartments in the 1000 block of North Ridge Road.
Two women, ages 30 and 50, reported getting into a verbal disturbance with the suspect as they entered the apartments' parking lot. He then followed them and pointed a handgun at the woman, 30. No one was injured in the incident.
Officers located the suspect, identified as Mitchell Jensen, 32, at an apartment in the complex. He was arrested without incident. Officers also recovered a handgun during the investigation. Jensen was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
The investigation is ongoing, and the case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office.
