Police: Arrest made in Wichita rape case

The Wichita Police Department announced that an arrest has been made in a weekend rape case.

At approximately 4:20 a.m., on Saturday, officers responded to a report of a rape at a residence in the 1600 of South St Paul Street.  Officers contacted a woman, 72 at the residemce.  They learned that the woman was with another woman, 37, and a man, 45, at a bar where they met the suspect. The group then met up at the residence in the 1600 Block of St Paul Street, where the woman, 72, was sexually assaulted.


Officers identified and arrested Jeremy Brown, 31, of Valley Center on two counts of rape.

The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office.
