A man was shot near downtown Wichita. It happened at around 9:40 p.m. Monday night in the 400 block of north Emporia.
Police arrived but found no evidence of a shooting after searching the area. A short time later a man, 32, arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators discovered he had been in a fight with a known suspect, when that suspect fired multiple shots from a handgun.
