Police are investigating a murder-suicide in Derby. It happened just before 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at The Trails apartment complex in the 1300 block of Meadowlark, west of Rock Rd., in Derby.
Derby Police Chief Robert Lee said officers arrived and found a woman in critical condition.
She was taken to an area hospital where she died from her injuries. A suspect who was running from officers, fatally shot himself on a nearby golf course.
Lee said that they are conducting an investigation into the incident.
