Police: Suspect arrested in Wichita double shooting

A suspect has been arrested in connection to a double shooting in northeast Wichita. Tmori Wright, 24, was arrested on two counts of attempted murder stemming from a shooting that critically injured a man, 23, and a girl, 17, both from Wichita.

The Wichita Police Department, (WPD), says that at approximately 5:55 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of North Harding.  They located man and girl who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.  They were transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

After undergoing surgery, the pair were listed in critical but stable condition.

Investigators say all three people know each other, and the shooting is not considered to be a random incident.

The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office.
