Police say two people have been arrested following a shooting in south Wichita. It happened around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 1600 block of east Pawnee, near Hydraulic.
Officers found a black Ford Focus wrecked into a business. Inside of the vehicle, officers contacted a woman, 20, who was the driver, with minor injuries from broken glass and the wreck. Also contacted inside the vehicle was a girl, 17, who had been shot. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers located the suspects, a man and a woman, both 19, in the 6100 block of East Lincoln. They were arrested without incident. Another passenger was located but not arrested.
The investigation is ongoing, and the case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office.
