The Wichita Police Department is actively investigating the death of Tracy McFadden, 48, from Wichita following a welfare check in the 900 block of E. Mt. Vernon Street.
At 8:48 a.m., Wednesday morning, officers responded to a 911 call at the location. The officers were met by Sedgwick County EMS, who had already pronounced the victim deceased at 8:55 a.m. The deceased victim was found outside on the porch area of a vacant property.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
