The Sedgwick County Commission meets Wednesday. Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News it will be a short meeting with no "new business". He says the consent agenda won't take long, as commissioners take care of routine, "normal business items", like appointments to boards, easement and permit approvals.
Baty says the meeting will adjourn and the commissioners will hold a second meeting in their role as governors of Fire District One. Baty says it's a separate taxing jurisdiction.
