At Wednesday's meeting, the Sedgwick County Commission will consider appointments to the Food and Farm Council. County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner says the Council is a joint effort with the City of Wichita. Meitzner's appointee is chef Lexi Michael. The Council will look at food dessert and food quality issues.
The County Commission will approve the hiring of a new Public Works Director. Lynn Packer has been serving as the interim Director. Meitzner says he thinks Packer will do a good job.
