At Wednesday's meeting the Sedgwick County Commission will consider a resolution that reserves property tax revenue for operating the government and uses sales tax dollars to support quality of life facilities such as the County Zoo and Exploration Place. County Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News property taxes should be used for "core" government functions, and the County's share of a one-cent sales tax reserved cultural arts funding. Baty says the County nets about $40 million a year from the sales tax. He says the realignment should not require any tax increases.

Baty commented during his weekly appearance with Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS.
