September is Suicide Prevention Month. Sedgwick County Commission Chair Ryan Baty tells KNSS News the Commission will proclaim Suicide Prevention Week in Sedgwick County at Wednesday's meeting. Baty says "everybody knows somebody" who's been impacted by suicide.
Baty says 135 people a day take their own lives across the United States. In Sedgwick County, 98 people committed suicide last year. Baty says help is available through COMCARE and other services.
Baty commented during his weekly appearance on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
