Sedgwick County health officials are trying to make it convenient for people to get vaccinated against COVID-19. County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News that includes the single-shot dosage from Johnson & Johnson. That shot will be availlable on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment. The two-shot vaccines are available on a walk-in basis at the former public library in downtown Wichita.
As the nation recovers from the COVID pandemic and people go back to work, we may see a shortage of workers for some kinds of jobs. Sedgwick County Chair Pete Meitzner says in writing the county budget, officials may see a challenge in filling some jobs, including law enforcement.
Meitzner commented during his weekly appearance on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
