Sedgwick County reports first measles case since 2017. Health Officials confirmed the case in an unvaccinated child between 5 and 10 years of age.
The health department is asking anyone who visited Carnicerias El Guero Grocery Store, at 524 West 21st Street North on April 29 between 6:30 -10:00 p.m. to monitor for symptoms through May 20.
The KDHE's latest measles update on Wednesday shows 48 total cases in the state, all of which are in 8 counties in southwest Kansas. The update does not include the case here in Sedgwick County.
