Sedgwick County is accepting applications for federal pandemic relief money. County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner tells KNSS News you can apply on the county's web site, answering a few questions. Meitzner says for this round of relief grants there is no immediate deadline to apply, with "a couple of years to decide and determine".
Sedgwick County is working with state officials to promote a new mental health facility for the Wichita area. County Commission Chair Pete Meitzner says more and more people with mental health issues are on the street or behind bars, and citizens are beginning to realize there is a problem.
