Assistant County Manager Tania Cole says six of the eight departments involved are already in their new homes, including the Department of Finance, the County Clerk's office, the County Counselor’s office, the County Manager's office, Strategic Communications and the Board of County Commissioners.

Cole says the County Treasurer's office and the Register of Deeds move will be delayed until the first of August. She added that thanks to supply chain issues, equipment needed for the first-floor auditorium will not arrive until October.

The move is being made to make room in the Sedgwick County Courthouse for additional courtrooms and District 18 court needs.
