
More area schools are closed, due to staffing problems because of illness. For USD-259, Cessna, Linwood, and Spaght elementary schools are closed due to staff sickness.

A district spokeswoman says they don't have enough staff to cover all the classrooms. Meanwhile, the district is dealing with an increase in Coronavirus cases.
Over 1,100 students and 300 staff members have tested positive and over 5,000 remain in quarantine.
Teacher's Union President Brent Lewis says he hopes lawmakers in Topeka are paying attention about the need for remote learning. "It's a limited option for us," Lewis said. "We are really in a position of trying to keep the doors of schools open," he added.
The Catholic Diocese says they have also temporarily closed three of their schools. Superintendent Janet Eaton says it wasn't an easy decision.
Christ the King is closed Tuesday. Magdalen and St.
Francis of Assisi, are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
