
Saturday night's severe storms brought a couple of tornado reports, high winds and large hail to the Sunflower State.
A tornado was reported in Harper County and a home 8 miles west of Anthony had EF-2 damage, with estimated peak winds of 125 mph. A woman inside the home was uninjured but shaken up.
Prior to that, a tornado rated EF-0 with peak winds of 85 mph hit the community of Hazelton, in Barber County. A tree was uprooted, several small trees were snapped, an empty trailer turned over and a couple of metal roofed sheds sustained damage.
Hail to the size of baseballs was reported in Osborne County, in northern Kansas while tennis ball size hail was reported in Montgomery County, in the southeast part of the state. Golf ball to 2" diameter hail was reported in Harper County.
Winds were measured to 78 mph in Goddard and 72 mph at Eisenhower National Airport, downing tree limbs and power lines, resulting in power outages.
