A weekend storm brought damage to the Garden City area on Sunday. Severe weather moved across the area after 3 p.m. Sunday. There were several reports of a weak tornado touching down. The national weather service is assessing damage.
According to area law enforcement there were no injuries but transmission lines were damaged. The damage caused 2-hour power outages for over 1,000 utility customers.
