Spirit AeroSystems reported a $281.2 million loss in the first quarter of 2023 on Wednesday.
The Wichita-based corporation reported a $2.68 loss per share. Adjusting for pretax expenses and non-recurring items, losses came to $1.69 per share.
The results fell short of expectations on Wall Street. According to Zacks Investment Research, the average forecast of six analysts polled was a loss of 31 cents per share.
The aircraft parts maker posted revenue of $1.43 billion in the period, which also fell short of Wall Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.48 billion.
