Spirit AeroSystems will implement a temporary furlough or hundreds of employees in Wichita beginning October 28th.
The move affects roughly 700 employees and comes after additional efforts to cut costs, including a hiring freeze, overtime and eliminating travel expenses.
A company spokesperson says they would need to implement layoffs and additional furloughs should the Boeing strike continues past November.
