
A 5th grade student died after a school bus accident in north central Kansas. It happened around 7:30 a.m. Friday morning near Mankato.

Troopers said that a Rock Hills USD-107 SUV was picking up students on its regular route with a driver and five students on board. The SUV was about a mile south of Highway 36 when it rolled.
A 5th grade student was killed, but the other students were ok. The driver was taken to a hospital for possible minor injuries.
The name of the student has not been released. The accident remains under investigation.
