A missing Topeka boy, 2, was found safe, after authorities issued an Amber Alert.
Topeka Police, conducting a welfare check, discovered the bodies of a man and woman at a residence around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
However, a child that lived at the home was not located which led to the AMBER Alert.
The KBI says the child had been abducted on Friday.
Agents identified Christopher Barnshaw, 42, as the suspect. The alert was canceled after law enforcement located the man and the boy early Tuesday afternoon in Illinois, about 130 miles northeast of St. Louis.
He was taken into custody without incident. Arrangements are underway to reunite the boy with a family member.
The investigation is ongoing.
