A Wichita man, wanted in connection to a fatal drug deal, was captured along the southern border.
Patricio Gomez, 31, was arrested Monday after his truck became stuck while crossing the border with Mexico.
Police said Gomez and Shae Roberts, 31, met with Michael Martinez, 42, at an east Wichita hotel this past September to make a drug deal. They allege Gomez shot and killed Martinez.
Roberts has been charged with first-degree murder. Gomez is awaiting extradition back to Wichita.
