A 17-year-old died from his injuries after a crash north of Harper, in Harper County. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol it happened just after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on K-14 2 miles north of Harper.
A car, driven by 17-year-old Thomas Morgan Burel of McKinney, Tx. was southbound on K-14. The car swerved off the roadway, overcorrected, and came across the centerline into the northbound lanes where it struck a semi truck.
Burel was reported dead at the scene. The semi's driver was not injured.
