Severe weather rolled through south central Kansas Saturday night bringing high winds, reports of large hail and heavy rainfall.


78 mph winds were measured in Viola in southwest Sedgwick County, while a 64 mph wind gust was measured at Eisenhower National Airport.

Tennis to baseball-size hail was reported in Cowley County. Torrential rain fell in Wichita with just over an inch officially at Eisenhower and numerous reports of street flooding.

A quieter forecast is slated for Sunday.
