The Wichita Business Journal reports an entry from the Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department shows an application from The Cheesecake Factory to build a restaurant in E. Wichita.
The application was filed for 2020 N. Rock Road in the Bradley Fair shopping center at 21st & Rock. The address was the former home of Outback Steakhouse; that building was demolished three years ago.
The construction is valued at $3 million. The description of work includes “construction of a new one-story steel frame structure with the tenant fit-out for a new restaurant, bar, patio dining and a commercial kitchen.”
The Cheesecake Factory has been a restaurant long-listed among some residents as one they’d like to see come to Wichita.
There are Cheesecake Factory restaurants located in Kansas City, Missouri; Overland Park; Tulsa; Oklahoma City; and St. Louis.
