The U.S. Figure Skating Championships at Intrust Bank Arena focused the sporting world's attention on Wichita, with network television coverage for several days. Wichita Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News that kind of expsore is good for the city, very positive. Wu says an event like the championship can result in an estimted $8 million in economic impact.
At Tuesday's work shop, the Wichita City Council will discss the results of last Fall's survey of citizens. Mayor Wu says the survey indicates that citizens' trust of local government is growing. Wu says the current city council has made an effort to "be more transparent and encouraged more people to get involved".
