Wichita Firefighters fought a house fire in south Wichita at about 9 AM Thursday. Crews reported smoke and flames visible when they arrived.
KSN reports the home had recently been moved to the 400 block of west 57th Street South.
A woman who had been in the home was able to escape, but suffered from smoke inhalation. Although her condition was listed as critical, she refused EMS transport to a hospital.
Two dogs were also in the home and were given oxygen by firefighters and are reported to be doing well.
The fire department said the newer home had recently been moved to that location, and two residents had just moved in. The other resident was not in the house at the time of the fire.
The home did not have working smoke detectors because they had been removed during the relocation process.
